Union Minister Dr. Najma Heptulla said “ solution of many global problems is present in Bhagwan Mahavir Philosophy. His philosophy is relevant and alive even today. His teachings have solution for global problems like environment and nature degradation, violence due to war and terrorism, religious intolerance and economic exploitation.”

Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Acharya Lokesh Muni said “ Bhagwan Mahavir liberated religion by removing complex rituals and made it easy. He taught that human life is supreme and there is a need to have positive attitude. Emphasising this fact he gave the universal principle of love and said the all humans irrespective of their looks and shape are equal and deserved to be loved equally. He began the upliftment of society on the issues like women slavery, equal rights to women etc.”

Shri Amit Shah said that the political journey of Jansangh and BJP is spread out in three phases. Between 1951-1974 the journey was dedicated to the development of nationalist thought process during the short period of 1975-1980 when Congress threatened democracy with emergency we worked for strengthening the democratic political forces. After the formation of BJP in 1980 the party workers working as soldiers of democracy dedicated themselves to national upliftment. Praising the hoardings put up by Delhi BJP today highlighting the words “Rajneeti Hamare Liye Sadhan Hai, Sadhya Nahi” Shri Amit Shah said that for BJP workers politics & governance are means to serve the people of India. He said people of several ideological & social thoughts worked with Congress during the freedom movement but soon after the independence a group of nationalists felt that the Congress leadership by following the western model of development is taking India on a wrong path and this resulted in formation of an alternate political thought forum Jansangh. It is the result of hard work and sacrifice of party workers & leaders that a party Jansangh formed by 11 persons is today world’s biggest political party BJP with 11 crore members. Our members have played vital role in several nationalist movements including Goa, Kutch & Assam agitations, Ram Janam Bhoomi Andolan and hoisting National Flag at Sri Nagar’s Lal Chowk amidst terrorist threats. National President Shri Amit Shah by presenting Namami Gange emblem and angvastra and other Pradesh Office bearers also presented emblem to the leaders present on the dais.
