Chetna 2015, most awaited cultural event of BhimRaoAmbedkar College

New Delhi :-Chetna 2015, the most awaited cultural event of BhimRaoAmbedkar College, University  of Delhi, began  on 3rd February 2015. Many participants from various colleges of D.U. and other universities in Delhi will be participating in various competitions which are to be held for two days. The formal inauguration of the event was started with the lightning of lamps to goddess Sarashwati by the distinguished chief-guest, guest-of-honour, the principal of the college, convenor and co-convenor of the event.

The chief-guest of the event,  ShriAzmulHaque, Distt.Election  Officer ( North-East Delhi), congratulated the staffs, both teaching  and non-teaching, and the students of the college for organizing such cultural event.  He also stressed that every citizen of India should be proud of our country. “ If not the best , India is one of the best countries in the world”, said ShriHaque.  He also emphasized that every student should cast vote for the coming Delhi Assembly Election due on 7th February 2015. Guest-of-Honour, DilbarGothi, resident editor, Navbharat Times, New Delhi, stated that such cultural event in college is very important for the students to overcome the monotonous routine of studies.  The Guest-of-honour  also encouraged the students to cast vote for the coming election.

Dr. G.K. Arora, principal of the college, also congratulated various committees for making it possible to start the most awaited event of the college. He also highlighted some of the bestachievements of the NCC and NSS wings of the college.

On the first day, several competitions, such as, solo song, duet song, group song, instrumental, mehendi, rangoli, nukkadnatak and photography were held.  On the second day of the event, solo dance, duet dance, group dance, poster making, face painting and ramp walk competitions will be held.  As many as 300 entries from various colleges of different universities in Delhi have been made  to participate in the two days cultural event.
