last day of the Delhi Book Fair was the most crowded

New Delhi : last day of the Delhi Book Fair was the most crowded day out of the entire nine day event. The storm and the weather did not stop the literary-enthusiasts from attending the last day of the fair.
Indian Trade Promotion Organization organized a valedictory function and award ceremony on the last dayof the fair. The award ceremony was for the best stalls of the fair. Mrs. Rita Menon, Chairperson and Managing Director of Indian Trade Promotion Organization was the guest of honour. Mr. Amar Nath, Vice President of F.I.P. welcomed the gathering and he spoke about the welfare of the publishing industry and also extended his gratitude towards the success of the 20th edition of the Delhi Book Fair. The Executive Director of I.T.P.O, Mr. Malay Srivastava was present at the function too. Award ceremony had three categories each for the book fair and the stationery fair. These categories were divided as Hindi, English and Regional languages/Government stalls. The awards were given out with the positions of gold, silver and bronze.
“Federation of Indian Publishers have indeed flourished in their endeavours. Even though the weather played spoiled-sport; there is a large number of visitors that came to the fair this year. It was a well-rounded effort and I hope the durable relationship of F.I.P. and I.T.P.O will continue in the future also as it has since the last two decades,” said Mrs. Rita Menon, Chairperson and Managing Director.
